Solar electricity is growing in popularity these days due for a number of reasons, the main one being the sustainable nature in which it produces power. One of the drawbacks of solar energy is that when the sun isn’t shining, you have to turn back to the power grid to power your home. With the Tesla Powerwall Home Battery no longer shall this be an issue.
Capable of connecting to both residential solar systems and the power grid, this rechargeable lithium-ion battery can store any excess power produced by the panels during the day for use when the sun isn’t shining, or store power while it’s connected to the grid and then act as a backup when the power is out.
The battery will be available in two sizes; a 10 kWh version and a 7 kWh version.
The Tesla Powerwall Home Battery offers independence from the utility grid, and the security of a backup power supply in the event of an emergency or an outage.
Price in Australia: AUD 4390 for the 10 kWh model or AUD 3760 for the 7 kWh model.
