Getting a good nights rest can be one of the most simplest things to improve your physical and emotional health. But more often than not it isn’t that simple and you only have to google “sleeping problems” to see your not the only one struggling to get a good night’s rest.
Kokoon have developed the worlds first sleep sensing EEG headphones which are comfortable enough to be slept in and smart enough to know how and when to adjust your music as you fall asleep and wake.
The headphones use medical-grade electroencephalographic (EEG) sensors hidden in the band and headphone cups to measure the user’s sleeping brainwaves. This information is presented in an app which evaluates your sleeping and gives you a clinical level of insight into exactly what is going on when you are sleeping.
The app itself is truly intelligent, adjusting your audio volume and equalization as you fall asleep so that it doesn’t disturb you once asleep. It adapts your audio to block out external noises and disturbances. As you continue to use the headphones the app is able to evaluated what audio techniques are most effective at helping you sleep.
Kokoon are currently funding the EEG Headphones project on kickstarter, with an expected shipping date for backers in February 2016.
