GoPro has long been the camera of choice for amateurs and professionals alike. GoPro has announced it’s newest addition to their line up, the HEROCast, wireless transmitting devices aimed at broadcast professionals. The HEROCast is already being used by the likes of ESPN and the NHL.
The HEROCast transmits high definition 1080/60fps and 720/60fps video in real time using H.264 encoding with low “glass to glass latency,” which means there is little delay between the camera lens and TV screen.
Available in two options, one, an independent unit that can be connected to a GoPro camera via a lockable HDMI cable or an All-in-one solution which directly connects to housing of a GoPro camera. Both configurations are compatible with the HERO4 and HERO3+ Black cameras.
